Vietnam’s Vingroup has expanded its renewable energy investments into Europe and Southeast Asia through its subsidiary VinEnergo. The company has initiated clean energy projects in Denmark, Sweden and the Philippines as part of a broader strategy to build a global energy portfolio.
VinEnergo aims to develop projects with a combined capacity of approximately 100 GW by 2029, representing a fivefold increase from its current portfolio. The expansion supports Vingroup’s strategy to diversify into energy infrastructure while leveraging its growing presence in electric mobility and clean technology sectors.
In addition to its existing projects in Europe and the Philippines, the company plans to extend investments into Africa and North America as part of its next phase of international expansion. The initiative reflects increasing participation by Vietnamese conglomerates in the global renewable energy market and the growing demand for large-scale green power development.
