VinFast has signed memoranda of understanding with 14 e-scooter distributors in the Philippines, marking a significant step in expanding its retail and service network ahead of a planned product launch in June 2026.
The partnerships include major local distributors such as Wheeltek Motor Sales Corporation, Motoxpress Sales Corporation, and Motorpro by Abenson Ventures, among others, enabling rapid rollout of showrooms and after-sales services across key urban areas including Metro Manila, Metro Cebu, and Metro Davao.
In the initial phase, the network will distribute a range of swappable-battery e-scooters, including models such as Evo, Feliz II, and Viper, tailored to local market conditions. The expansion is supported by plans to deploy approximately 30,000 battery-swapping stations nationwide, forming part of a broader integrated electric mobility ecosystem.
The initiative reflects VinFast’s strategy to strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia by combining vehicle offerings with infrastructure, financing, and service networks. The Philippines, as one of the region’s largest motorcycle markets, presents strong growth potential for e-scooters amid rising fuel costs and increasing demand for sustainable mobility solutions.
The move builds on VinFast’s wider regional expansion across markets including Indonesia, India, Thailand, and Malaysia, as it seeks to accelerate adoption of electric two-wheelers and develop a comprehensive green mobility ecosystem.
