OrtCloud has raised USD1.7 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Golden Gate Ventures, with participation from Antler, to develop AI-focused cloud infrastructure in SIngapore.
The Singapore-based startup is building deterministic virtual machine infrastructure designed for fixed workloads and AI-agent sandboxes, addressing challenges related to performance unpredictability, security risks, and resource management in AI-driven systems. Its platform supports both hosted and on-premises deployments, catering to enterprises seeking stable billing, predictable performance, and greater control compared to traditional shared cloud environments.
OrtCloud has already achieved seven-figure annual recurring revenue and counts clients such as OpenAI and Samsung. The newly raised funds will be used to enhance product development, expand its workforce, and scale operations across Asia Pacific and the United States.
The company’s offering aligns with the growing need for secure and isolated environments as AI agents become more widely adopted, particularly given risks associated with executing dynamic or untrusted code.
