Pacifico Energy has announced plans to invest in solar power projects within industrial parks in Binh Duong province in southern Vietnam. The company has supported the proposal and called for collaboration among agencies to facilitate project development.

As of August 2024, The provincial government of Binh Duong had installed 4,007 rooftop solar systems, totalling a capacity of 770.1 MWp. Further, the government aims to become a centrally-run city by 2030, focusing on advancements in science and technology, innovation, sustainable growth, climate adaptation, and improving residents’ livelihoods. Pacifico Energy has invested over USD4.6 billion in renewable energy (RE) projects globally since 2012 and is the largest U.S.-based investor in Vietnam’s renewable sector, with plans for further investment between USD15 billion and USD20 billion worldwide.
