The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has announced plans to partner with the Government of Vietnam for mobilising assistance for key infrastructure projects. The collaboration is in line with the China-based Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and Vietnam’s Two Corridors, One Belt framework.

AIIB’s assistance is required in mobilising resources for key projects, such as the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong and Lang Son-Hanoi railways. Additionally, AIIB will provide preferential loans, facilitate technology transfers, and support human resources training for these initiatives.

Projects like the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong, Mong Cai-Ha Long-Hai Phong, and Lang Son-Hanoi railways are being evaluated to strengthen connections between Vietnam and China as part of the BRI.
