Two new expressways to be built in Mekong Delta

Two new expressways, the Chau Doc-Can Tho-SocTrang Expressway and Ha Tien-RachGia-Bac Lieu Expressway, with a total investment of more than VND 67.4 trillion are proposed to be built in the Mekong delta. The Ministry of Transport has directed the Cuu Long Corporation for Investment Development and Project Management of Infrastructure to conduct a pre-feasibility study for the two expressways. They will be connected with the North-South Expressway. The first stage of the Chau Doc-Can Tho-SocTrang Expressway project will have a length of 154 km and be 17 metres in width with four lanes. The Ha Tien-RachGia-Bac Lieu Expressway will have a total length of 225 km.
