The construction on My Thuy port started in Quang Tri province’s Lang district on February 27, 2020. The port is being built at an estimated cost of VND 14.23 trillion. The 685 hectare port will have a total of 10 wharves capable of receiving ships up to 100,000 tonnes. During the first stage from 2018 to 2025, four wharves will be built at an investment of nearly VND 5 trillion. Three others will be constructed at the same cost during the second stage from 2026 to 2031 and the remaining three, worth more than VND 4.3 trillion, will be constructed in the third stage from 2032 to 2036. It is expected to significantly contribute to freight transport and to the economic growth of Quang Tri province.
