During a bilateral meeting between the Government of Indonesia and Turkey, two business-to-business agreements worth USD4.4 billion were signed by both sides. The first agreement worth USD3.4 billion covers the joint production of electric buses by Indonesia-based PT Schahmindo Perkasa and Turkey-based Karsan. The second agreement, worth USD1.2 billion, covers construction of the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road by Indonesia-based PT Hutama Karya and Turkey-based ERG Insaat.
Several government-to-government agreements have also been signed covering cooperation in the environment, forestry, research and technology sectors as well as innovation and development.
