KPMG Singapore has launched a decarbonisation hub for the ASEAN region to attract climate funding and aid energy transition in the region. Initially, the hub will focus on developing low-carbon and energy-efficient projects. Priority will be on retiring coal-fired power plants, transitioning away from diesel in favour of renewable energy (RE) as well as exploring the potential of hydrogen.

Other focus areas include solar, wind and geothermal technologies, with future plans encompassing sustainable cities, carbon capture and energy efficiency.
