The Transport Co (BKS) will launch a new cross-border bus service connecting Udon Thani, Udon Thani International Airport and Vientiane, Laos, from September 9, 2026. Designated Route No. 2, the 87-km service will use 40-seat, second-class air-conditioned buses, with one service operating in each direction daily at a fare of THB 80 per journey.
The outbound service will depart Udon Thani Bus Terminal 1 at 9am, stop at Udon Thani International Airport at 9:30am and reach Vientiane at noon. The return service will leave Vientiane at 2pm, reach the airport at 4:30pm and arrive at Udon Thani Bus Terminal 1 at 5pm. The service is intended to provide a direct connection for passengers travelling between the airport and the Lao capital.
