Founder Energy Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Founder Group Limited, is tendering for projects under Malaysia’s Large-Scale Solar 6 (LSS6) programme, which offers 2,500 MW of solar capacity and 1,250 MW of battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity. The programme, launched by Malaysia’s Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) in July 2026, is expected to attract RM13 billion–RM15 billion (approximately USD3.2 billion–USD3.7 billion) in private investment, with full commercial operation targeted by December 31, 2029.
Founder Energy has participated in more than 70 solar engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) and sub-EPCC projects across Peninsular Malaysia, representing more than 1 GWp of combined DC solar capacity. The company is seeking both EPCC and long-term operations and maintenance opportunities under LSS6, including through its AI-driven O&M capabilities.
