Telkomsat and Bhinneka Nusantara Mandiri (BNM) have partnered to use the capacity of the Merah Putih 2 satellite to accelerate digital transformation in Indonesia’s maritime sector.
The initiative, named Pinisi, will provide connectivity solutions through Telkomsat’s Mangoes Maritim and Mangoes Nelayan services, enhancing maritime communications. The project also includes developing AI-based tools like real-time fuel monitoring to improve efficiency and reduce costs for ships, positioning Indonesia as a competitive player in the global digital economy.
