T. Nishijima has been named president and representative director of Yokogawa Electric Corporation, effective April 1, 2013. He will replace S. Kaihori, who will now be representative director and chairman. Nishijima joined Yokogawa in April 1981 and held a series of senior product development and marketing positions in the field instruments business. From April 2010 to March 2011, he served as president of Yokogawa Meters & Instruments Corporation, before being appointed director of Yokogawa Electric Corporation in June 2011. One year later, he was promoted to his current positions of director, senior vice-president, and head of the Industrial Automation Platform Business Headquarters. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Tokyo Metropolitan University in March 1981.
