Neil Montefiore, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), StarHub, has announced that he will step down from his post by the end of February. He has been working at the telecom company since January 2010.
Montefiore’s position will be filled by Tan Tong Hai, the current chief operating officer of the company. The succession is subject to regulatory approval, however. At present, he is in charge of a number of key divisions at StarHub such as the Consumer Business Group, Enterprise Business Group, and Customer Service, besides supervising the company’s day-to-day operations. Hai has acquired managerial experience in a broad range of companies including Singapore Computer Systems and Pacific Internet. He has a degree in electrical engineering from the National University of Singapore.
