SunAsia Energy (SunAsia) a renewables firm has partnered up with Singapore-based Blueleaf Energy (Blueleaf) to build a solar energy a portfolio in Luzon with a target capacity of 1.25GW. The renewable projects are still in the planning stage, with construction scheduled to start in 2022.

The partnership builds on Blueleaf’s financial and technical capabilities, as well as SunAsia’s development experience in the local market. Blueleaf currently owns and operates 250MW of solar power in the Philippines. The country is focused on increasing renewable energy capacity, with a goal of delivering an additional 10GW of solar power by 2030.
