TotalEnergies has finished the construction of solar-powered roofing for 24 Betagro sites across Thailand.

The solar photovoltaic (PV) system includes over 62,000 solar panels and completed in six months despite COVID-19 restriction. The 25 MWp system is expected to provide 38 GWh of renewable electricity annually, accounting for roughly 10 per cent of the company’s total power usage. TotalEnergies funded the entire project.

The project is one of Southeast Asia’s largest corporate solar portfolios, providing Betagro with renewable energy under a 20-year corporate power purchase agreement (CPPA).
