SP Group has secured three major honours at the Asian Power Awards 2025, winning Power Utility of the Year – Singapore, Transmission & Distribution Project of the Year – GOLD, and Smart Grid Project of the Year – Singapore. The accolades recognise the company’s progress in strengthening grid reliability, advancing smart grid capabilities, and delivering landmark power infrastructure in Singapore.
The Power Utility of the Year award reflects SP Group’s consistently high network performance, with a System Average Interruption Duration Index of 14.2 seconds per customer in 2024—placing Singapore among the world’s most reliable electricity networks. The Transmission & Distribution Project of the Year – GOLD award was conferred for Southeast Asia’s first large-scale underground 230 kV substation at Labrador, a complex urban project that combines advanced engineering, sustainable design, and integration with a Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy commercial development.
SP Group also received Smart Grid Project of the Year – Singapore for its digital twin platform, which virtualises substations and grid assets in a real-time 3D environment. By integrating asset health data, operational systems, and geospatial intelligence, the platform enables predictive maintenance, AI-driven forecasting, and improved grid resilience. Together, the awards underscore SP Group’s strategy to build a smart, flexible, and sustainable grid to support Singapore’s evolving energy needs and decarbonisation goals.
