The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) has appointed electronics manufacturing executive Ferdinand Ferrer as its new president, succeeding 2024–2025 president Enunina Mangio. The appointment marks a leadership transition at the country’s largest business organization.
Ferrer is the chairman and chief executive officer of EMS Group of Companies, one of the Philippines’ largest electronics firms. He aims to build on gains achieved during Mangio’s term, which focused on stronger advocacy, deeper regional engagement, expanded international partnerships, and enhanced institutional capacity, alongside securing investment interests from multiple global markets.
Looking ahead, Ferrer said PCCI’s strategy will centre on strengthening governance, improving investment and market access, and advancing workforce development. He noted that these priorities must move together to position the Philippines as a competitive trade and investment hub while ensuring a future-ready workforce.
