Westports Malaysia Sdn Bhd has partnered with Solarvest Holdings Bhd to install rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems across two of their warehouse facilities situated in Port Klang. Solarvest will manage the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) works for the 7.7 MWp solar installation. Westports is expected to complete the installation by mid-2024.

Bursa Malaysia has recently adopted a carbon emissions tracker, the centralised sustainability intelligence (CSI) platform, which will help Westports to reduce around 6,500 tonnes of CO2 by integrating solar power into its operations. Additionally, this is in line with the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) and will help achieve the Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) target of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
