Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) has launched a trial of a humanoid robot named “Olly” at Little India MRT station. The trial, running from August 31 to September 11, allows passengers to interact with the robot for assistance with station navigation and general queries about MRT lines.
During the trial, Olly is deployed around the station, including on the platform, to provide directions to passengers. The initiative is aimed at exploring the use of robotic technology to support passenger services within Singapore’s public transport network.
