The Sabah Shell Petroleum Company has awarded an EPC contract to a joint venture (JV) of Technip and Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering (MMHE) Sendirian Berhad for the EPC of a tension leg platform for the Malikai deepwater project. Technip will carry out the engineering- and procurement-related activities at its operating centre in Kuala Lumpur, while MMHE will construct the TLP at its fabrication yard at Pasir Gudang in Johor. The work is scheduled for completion in mid-2015.
