Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has been declared the successful bidder for the project that involves the renewal of the 275 MW Pasir Gudang power station in Johor. TNB Pasir Gudang Energy Sendirian Berhad, a wholly owned subsidiary of TNB, has been created for the project. The award is conditional on TNB Pasir Gudang’s compliance with a new power purchase agreement and new gas supply agreement for a five-year extension starting September 1, 2017. TNB Pasir Gudang also needs to adhere to a supplemental service level agreement (SLA) for the remaining term of the existing SLA.
