Ranhill Utilities Bhd has secured a THB31.95 million contract to upgrade a wastewater treatment plant in Amata City Industrial Estate, Thailand. According to the contract, Ranhill Utilities will increase the wastewater plant’s capacity from 15 million litres to 20 million litres per day. Upgradation works on the plant is expected to take six months with operations scheduled to resume by June 2022.

The wastewater treatment facility was built on a Build-Operate-Transfer basis for a 30-year concession period, beginning November 2013 and ending October 2043. The wastewater tariff under the contract is THB9.35 baht per m3, with a minimum offtake of 13,000 m3 per day.
