Metro Rail Transit Corporation (MRTC) has replaced 38 of the 72 light rail vehicles (LRV) on the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) in Metro Manila in order to maintain passenger capacity of 70 per cent, or 276 passengers per train car. Before being put into service, the LRVs were subjected to quality inspections and speed testing.

Repairs on the remaining 34 train coaches will be conducted over the upcoming months.  There are three LRVs in each train set. On the mainline, seventeen to twenty-one train sets are currently in service.
