Public Utilities Board (PUB), Singapore’s national water agency, and the Keppel Marina East Desalination Plant have won top honours at the Global Water Awards 2021. PUB was named Resilient Water Agency of the Year for its initiatives in maintaining water security in the country during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Keppel Marina East Desalination Plant, which commenced operations in February 2021, was also recognised for its ability to treat seawater and freshwater from the nearby reservoir.
Global Water Awards is an annual award programme organised by Global Water Intelligence. The accolade honours the significant achievements by government and private water agencies involving fresh and used water and desalination.
