PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Peugeot Société Anonyme Indonesia (PSA) to upgrade the rail and rail-linked logistics in Indonesia. This will increase connectivity for a sustainable multi-modal transportation network.
Moreover, PSA and KAI will jointly develop feasibility studies for co-operation and co-investment plans for the rail infrastructure in the country. This will include plans like joint management and operations for global logistics services, railway-based container terminals, and multimodal Door-to-Door (D2D) integrated freight transportation services.
