The report “ASEAN Capacity Building Roadmap on Energy Investment” has been authored by ASEAN Centre for Energy. The key objectives of the roadmap are: to identify progress and issues in attracting investments and sustainable financing for energy infrastructure and technologies in ASEAN and to identify key priority areas and actions in building up regional capabilities on clean energy investments.
The development of the roadmap outlines four critical phases in enhancing regional capabilities on clean energy investments for ASEAN:
- Classification of ASEAN members states on current standing
- Optimising investment frameworks
- Development of action plans
- Deployment of frameworks and mechanisms
