Malakoff Radiance Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Malakoff Corporation Bhd (Malakoff) has signed a solar power purchase agreement (SPPA) with the DRB-HICOM Group of Companies, including Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional (MODENAS) Sdn Bhd, PMB Properties Sdn Bhd, ISUZU HICOM Malaysia Sdn Bhd, and others to develop, operate and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems at 14 locations in Selangor, Perak, Kedah, Melaka, and Pahang in Malaysia. The RM50 million project will have a total capacity of 20.78 MWp and is expected to generate 26,546.45 MWh of electricity and will reduce 20,706 tCO2e carbon emissions annually.
The SPPA aligns with Malakoff’s commitment to UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7, which focuses on access to affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy for all.
