The Philippines’ Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is accelerating infrastructure projects under I Squared Capital’s USD2 billion investment commitment, focusing on fuel storage, pipelines and cold chain facilities. The commitment includes more than USD1 billion in additional investment over two to three years, announced in October 2025, on top of over USD1 billion already invested in the country.
Under its Philippine Coastal Storage and Pipeline Corp., I Squared Capital is developing fuel storage facilities in Batangas and Davao and stores more than one million barrels of strategic fuel reserves for the Philippine National Oil Co. The company has also signed two memoranda of understanding with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority for a proposed Subic–Clark fuel pipeline and a potential liquefied natural gas-to-power project in Subic Bay. Separately, its Royale Cold Storage business is expanding beyond Luzon, with developments underway in Cebu and Davao. I Squared Capital has also expressed interest in telecommunications towers, data centres and hospitals, while the DTI will coordinate with government agencies to facilitate approvals and advance eligible projects.
