Singapore-based data centre developer DayOne has secured an additional USD3.67 billion in financing to support the expansion of its data centre operations in Johor, Malaysia. The financing package, equivalent to MYR15 billion, comprises a USD2.4 billion offshore term loan and a 5.5 billion ringgit Murabahah facility arranged by CIMB, Crédit Agricole CIB, DBS, Maybank, OCBC, Standard Chartered and UOB. The new facility builds on 15 billion ringgit secured in 2025, bringing the company’s total Malaysian financing platform to approximately MYR30 billion (USD7.2 billion).

DayOne reported that billings had surpassed 1 GW of IT power capacity under long-term customer contracts, with customer bookings reaching approximately 2.3 GW and a further 1.1 GW in reservations. The company also reported that billings had increased more than eightfold in less than two years and that it had raised over USD6 billion in equity since 2024. Separately, DayOne filed for a proposed initial public offering (IPO) in the US on October 6, 2026, with plans to raise up to USD5 billion at a potential valuation of USD20 billion. The expansion comes amid growing demand for cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure in Malaysia, with the country’s data centre supply capacity projected to reach 4.2–6.1 GW by 2030.
