The Philippine Board of Investments (BOI) has approved development plans for a PHP2 billion solar facility in Luzon. The renewable energy (RE) project was initially proposed by PAVI Green Renewable Energy Incorporated. The facility is scheduled to commence commercial operations in February 2024.

The project will include the deployment of mono-crystalline solar panels and string inverters in the city of Naga. The project is part of the government of Philippines’ plan of having about 81.5 GW of renewable power plants in operation by 2040.
