Mohd Bakke Salleh has been appointed as the chairman of state-owned Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas), effective August 1, 2021. He will be replacing the incumbent Ahmad Nizam Salleh, who served in the position since 2018,
Mohd Bakke was previously the managing director of Sime Darby Plantation Bhd as well as the chairman of the state-owned Federal Land Development Authority (Felda). In addition, he served on the boards of Khazanah Nasional Bhd and the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF).
