Calypte Holding and CGN Energy has secured a contract worth IDR19.6 trillion with Riau Provincial Government to develop a 1,000 MW solar power plant (PLTS) and a 500 MW combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant in Bengkalis Regency, Indonesia.
Plans for development have been submitted to PT PLN to be entered into the 2023 Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL). The next stage will involve the completion of the feasibility study, before work is scheduled to start in 2025.
Construction on both the sites is expected to be completed in December 2027. Energy supply from the facilities will commence in early 2028.
