Total Eren S.A. (Total Eren), PT Adaro Power and PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali Investasi (PJBI) have signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) for a 70 MW wind project in Indonesia. The wind facility, located in South Kalimantan, will be combined with a 10 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). It will also feature turbines with an individual capacity of over 6 MW per unit.
The construction of the project is scheduled to commence in 2024, with commissioning planned for 2025. Once operational, the wind farm will offset around 220,000 tons of carbon emission per year.
