China-based LONGi has commenced commercial operations on the first phase of its 8.8 GW Serendah Module Plant in Malaysia. The 140-acre module factory was developed at an investment of RM1.8 billion.
The 8.8 GW facility will be constructed in two phases, of which Phase I was constructed to generate 2.8 GW meanwhile, Phase II will generate 6 GW. The second phase has already been initiated.
