National University of Singapore (NUS) has won the President’s Award for the Environment 2023. Additionally, NUS is also the first university in the country to receive this award under the Educational Institution category. NUS has also contributed to the Singapore Green Plan 2030 through its Campus Sustainability Roadmap 2030, which guides the University in its transformation towards a carbon neutral, climate resilient and zero waste campus.
The university has been honoured with many achievements including the certification of University Town as Singapore’s first Green Mark (GM) GoldPLUS district by the Building Construction Authority (BCA) in 2009 and BCA’s GM Platinum Champion Award in 2021.
