The Ministry of Planning and Investment has signed an MoU with Lao PPA Company Limited to conduct a feasibility study for developing a solar energy development project in Laos. The project will be developed on the surface of the Nam Ngum 1 hydropower dam with a focus on the community of Phonsavath village in Longxan district of Xaysomboun province. It will generate revenue for the government and will create employment opportunities for local people.
