Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Energy have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop energy cooperation between the two countries.

The collaboration will cover projects related to oil fields and upstream and downstream gas, as well as renewable energy. The MOU includes joint research and technical cooperation initiatives, investment promotion in the energy sector, training and development programmes, and organising joint seminars, conferences, and forums. Collaboration in the area of alternative energy sources, as well as diversification of cooperation in this area, is also included in the signed agreement.

A joint working group has been planned to address and incorporate the memorandum’s issues.
