Technology Park Malaysia [TPM] Corporation has won the Cyber Security Organisation of the Year Award, 2014 for its efforts in promoting and strengthening cybersecurity in the field of information and communications technology (ICT). The company attributed this win to the efforts of its employees, who have relentlessly strived to adopt stringent international standards and practices.
TPM, an agency of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), has integrated infrastructure, facilities and support services to assist technopreneurs and entrepreneurs who are keen on commercialising their ideas in industry verticals such as ICT, engineering, biotechnology and green technology. So far, TPM has assisted more than 3,000 companies, involving investments of over RM 1 billion.
BAE Systems Applied Intelligence has been recognised as the Cyber Security Company of the Year, 2014 by CyberSecurity Malaysia, the cybersecurity specialist agency of MOSTI. The award has been given in acknowledgement of a number of factors including the degree of innovation, the impact of that innovation on industry, financial success, client wins and value enhancement, as well as the commitment to and investment in R&D. The Malaysia Cyber Security Awards have been established to recognise the contribution of individuals and organisations to Malaysia’s cybersecurity or information security standards.
