Ayala Land and the Manila Water Corporation were recognised for their excellence in corporate governance at the Philippines Stock Exchange [PSE] Bell Awards, 2014. The other recipients of the award were Aboitiz Power Corporation, Cebu Holdings and China Banking Corporation.
Since the launch of the awards in 2012, the Manila Water Corporation has won the award three times, while Ayala Land had earlier won the award in 2012.
The Bell Awards evaluate the corporate governance practices of the listed companies and trading participants of the PSE. The panel of judges at the 2014 PSE Bell Awards was headed by the chairperson of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
