Manila Electric Company (Meralco) has re-launched a tender for 850 MW of renewable generating capacity in the Philippines. The deadline to submit expressions of interest is June 6, 2022.
The tender was initially launched in January 2022 but was closed as no bids were submitted. The agency is looking for bids for about 600 MW of capacity to start delivering power by February 2026, and another 250 MW to start commercial operations in February 2027, according to the latest tender.
Successful bidders will be granted a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
