McDermott has secured a transportation, installation and commissioning contract for the Kikeh subsea gas lift project located offshore Sabah in Malaysia from PTTEP Sabah Oil Limited (PTTEP). Under the contract, McDermott will remove the existing flexible gas lift riser with a new riser section and flowline comprised of two thermoplastic composite pipe jumpers, which will enable gas delivery to a subsea production system at the back of the Kikeh floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel.
The project, located 120km northwest of Labuan, Malaysia, includes replacing an old gas lift riser and installing a new dynamic riser section and flowline. This upgrade is key to maintaining the flow of gas to the subsea production system connected to the Kikeh FPSO vessel.
