UAE-based Masdar has signed a framework agreement with PLN for a joint study to triple the capacity of Cirata reservoir in West Java, Indonesia up to 500 MW. The companies have also agreed to explore renewable energy (RE) options to develop green hydrogen worldwide.
Additionally, Madar and PLN inaugurated Southeast Asia’s largest floating solar power plant with a capacity of 145 MW located on the Cirata reservoir in West Java in November 2023.
