The UK Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions (UK PACT) programme has announced that the Malaysia-UK PACT programme will fund five climate projects in Malaysia. The total funding is valued at GBP1.4 million.

All five projects received between GBP100,000 and GBP350,000 each. These projects will aim at supporting low-carbon and environmental initiatives in Malaysia, as well as the development of marginalised populations. The project partners will support and collaborate with key public sector beneficiaries at the national, state, and local levels to strengthen capacity in key priority areas.

UK PACT is a GBP70 million flagship programme sponsored by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BESIS). UK PACT aims to increase the capacity of important public, commercial, and civil society organisations in partner countries, including Malaysia, to decrease emissions and encourage inclusive economic growth.
