The Government of Malaysia has fully integrated its national digital identity system, MyDigital ID, with transport services through the MyJPJ platform, enabling a single sign-on (SSO) experience for users.

The integration, effective from May 1, allows users to access multiple services provided by the Road Transport Department Malaysia, including checking driving licence status, vehicle registration validity, summons management and branch information. Since rollout, the system has recorded around seven million new logins, bringing total users of MyDigital ID to approximately 12 million.

By consolidating access through a single verified identity, the system enhances cybersecurity and simplifies user experience by eliminating the need for multiple passwords. Authorities have confirmed that the platform is operating smoothly and securely following the integration.

The move forms part of Malaysia’s broader digital transformation strategy, with MyDigital ID continuing to expand its ecosystem through new partnerships and wider adoption across public services. The initiative is expected to improve service delivery efficiency while strengthening digital governance and user authentication standards.
