Ryde Group Ltd. has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with VinaTaxi to explore a strategic partnership in Vietnam’s mobility and electric transport sectors.
The collaboration will assess the integration of Ryde’s ride-hailing platform with VinaTaxi’s existing fleet, with the aim of modernising urban mobility services. Plans include deploying digital ride-hailing solutions across the taxi network and developing an electric motorcycle ecosystem suited to Vietnam’s cities.
The partnership also explores the gradual introduction of electric vehicles as part of long-term sustainability goals, aligning with broader trends toward electrification in Southeast Asia’s transport sector.
For Ryde Group Ltd., the agreement marks a step in its regional expansion strategy beyond Singapore, where it currently offers services such as carpooling, ride-hailing and delivery solutions. The initiative reflects increasing collaboration between technology platforms and traditional transport operators to enhance efficiency, digitalisation and environmental performance.
