Malakoff Radiance signs six solar power purchase agreements in Malaysia

Malakoff Radiance Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Malakoff Corporation Bhd, has signed six solar power purchase agreements (SPPA) for the development of rooftop solar energy systems in Malaysia. The SPPAs include HICOM Automotive Manufacturers (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd,Composites Technology Research Malaysia (CTRM) Aero Composites Sdn Bhd, Isuzu HICOM Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (Modenas), HICOM Bhd, and HICOM Teck-See Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, all of which are part of DRB- Hicom Bhd’s manufacturing and engineering divisions.

As part of a 25-year SPPA, the solar facilities will be built under a build-own-operate-transfer contract. These facilities are expected to generate 18,836 MWh of clean power per year once they are completed. Additionally, these will offset around 13,072 tonnes of carbon emissions from the manufacturing industry each year.
