Lao Cai Provincial People’s Committee and Vingroup Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to drive green and digital transformation in the province in Vietnam. The collaboration aligns with Vietnam’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. The agreement focuses on green tourism, industry, urban infrastructure, transportation, and lifestyle initiatives from 2025 to 2030.
The partnership will include awareness campaigns on green transportation and the integration of green technology into education. Lao Cai will also support Vingroup’s expansion of electric vehicle infrastructure by identifying suitable locations for charging stations. Both parties will explore opportunities in green industrial parks, carbon credit projects, and investment promotion. Officials from both sides emphasised the potential of the cooperation to enhance sustainability and economic development.
