Setia Utama LRT 3 Sdn Bhd (SULRT3), a wholly owned subsidiary of Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB), has secured a contract for the design, construction, and commissioning of the reinstatement works of the Light Rail Transit Line 3 (LRT3) in the Klang Valley. The contract has been valued at MYR2.47 billion. The scope of work includes the construction of five stations, the construction of two electric bus depots, and the supply of rolling stock. The works are scheduled to be completed within 48 months.
LRT3 will span 37.8 km (including 2 km underground) and cover 26 stations. Five stations were removed from the project scope as part of a cost-cutting exercise. Passenger services at 20 stations are expected to commence around September 2025.
