The German state-owned bank Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau (KfW) has agreed to provide 1.5 trillion dong to upgrade and build electricity grids in the Nghe An, Bac Giang, Vinh Phuc, and Phu Tho provinces of Vietnam. The Northern Power Corporation, a subsidiary of EVN, will be executing the project that is estimated to cost around 1.94 trillion dong; it is slated for completion by end 2013.
